International Students Interested in Studying in Indiana

Posted on May 31st, 2011 by Jenny Frankel

International students interested in studying in Indiana at Purdue University should be aware of the national recognition Purdue University graduate programs have recently received through American news media and information outlets. U.S. News and World Reports, for example, ranks Purdue’s graduate programs in engineering, education, and business among the best in the entire country! In fact, international students interested in studying at Purdue University would be attending a U.S. institution ranked within the top 20 best public universities in the country (it is currently tied in 18th place with Ohio State University, University of Maryland, and the University of Georgia). What is more, international students interested in studying in Indiana at Purdue University should note these following graduate program highlights:

  • The Purdue University Krannert School of Management international executive MBA degree program has been ranked 21st internationally by Financial Times.
  • In 2010 QS rankings, Purdue’s engineering and technology programs ranked 28th. Additionally (in other QS world specialty rankings) Purdue’s life sciences and biomedicine programs ranked 86th and their natural sciences programs ranked 118th.
  • According to SmartMoney magazine’s college “payback” survey (which calculates the long-term value of a college education) Purdue University degrees ranked 9th within the nation.

Last (but not least), Purdue University was ranked in the Princeton Review’s list of 100 “best value” colleges. There is no doubt these statistics and rankings should only increase the confidence of international students interested in studying at Purdue University that their interest in Purdue’s graduate programs is not without just cause or shared recognition!
