International Students Studying in Connecticut

Posted on May 17th, 2011 by Jenny Frankel

As with most places that provide high quality of living, cost of living expenses are usually higher as well. This is certainly a trend experienced by students (both domestic and international) st

udying in Connecticut, a state well known nationally for its wealth and well-to-do status.

That said, tuition fees for international students studying in Connecticut may be higher than is the case in some other U.S. states. This is certainly a financial factor to be seriously reviewed by prospective international students during their study abroad decision-making process, especially those still deciding on what U.S. state they most wish to pursue their academic studies. When determining tuition fees for international students studying in Connecticut, the state uses the two-tier graduate fee structure wherein non-residents (visa-holders) will likely be responsible for the actual financial cost of instruction.

International students interested in studying in Connecticut can learn more about tuition and associated cost of attendance to any number of colleges and universities located in the state of Connecticut (and can easily compare costs of attendance between various schools of interest) by visiting Universities and Colleges in Connecticut.  The site offers a helpful diagram for international students breaking down out-of-state tuition requirements to many of the major colleges and universities in Connecticut, already ranking them from least expensive attendance rates to most expensive.
