International student scholarship recipients in Georgia

Posted on November 8th, 2011 by Jenny Frankel

International student scholarship recipients in Georgia do exist! In fact, GlobalAtlanta.com (a news source for international business related to the city of Atlanta, GA) recently published an article highlighting the successful efforts some international students have been able to make in securing certain scholarship money within the state of Georgia. For example, female international students in Georgia secured scholarships in technology leadership at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business. These awards, part of the 2010 Bergeron Women in Technology Scholarship series, ranged from an impressive $7,500 to $10,000 dollars and included additional assistance in the form of mentoring, education, and career advancement opportunities for the award recipients.

This past year, international student scholarship recipients in Georgia came from the countries of India, Brazil, and Latvia. To learn more about how international students in Georgia secured scholarships through this program you can visit the Bergeron Women in Technology Leadership Fund at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business. As many international students have come to learn, finding outside sources of financial assistance can be quite a challenge, so to have an opportunity like this made available for overseas applicants (especially for female international students who wish to broaden their business and cultural perspective by gaining this invaluable exposure to international business through the American lens) is definitely worth celebrating and sharing with fellow international students studying in Georgia who may fit this scholarship applicant criteria.
